About the community
Free Birds is a volunteer support group for women affected by domestic abuse, including migrant women from CIS countries, across the UK and Europe. Support is available in Russian and Ukrainian.
Services include an initial conversation, a personal case coordinator, up to five free Listening Service sessions, peer-support groups, community meetings and art therapy. The team provides legal information, help finding solicitors and understanding Legal Aid, organising documents and a chronology of events, and drafting enquiries. It does not provide formal legal services or replace a solicitor. Support also covers free-learning opportunities, CVs, LinkedIn and interview preparation.
Support is free; books and guides are sold separately. Please contact the team by WhatsApp message rather than by phone call.
